Start with a username
Which TikTok link should you paste?
Use a plain username such as tiktok, a handle such as @tiktok, or a profile URL such as https://www.tiktok.com/@tiktok. All three identify the same account. Use the unique handle rather than the display name shown above it on TikTok.
A full address such as https://www.tiktok.com/@creator/video/POST_ID contains a handle the tool can read. It still searches @creator, so you must find the intended video in the results. A vm.tiktok.com, vt.tiktok.com or tiktok.com/t/ link does not expose that handle here; open it on TikTok and copy the creator's profile address first.

How to find and save a video in four steps
1. Enter the public profile
Type a username, @username or complete profile URL, then select Find public videos.
2. Confirm the creator
Check the unique @username and avatar in the result. Display names can be shared by unrelated accounts.
3. Choose the clip
Compare the preview and caption. Open the original post using the arrow icon on the card if you need to confirm its identity.
4. Open and save the MP4
Choose Open MP4 to save on the selected card, then use the player or browser's save control. Open the saved file to confirm it contains the video.
When you want one particular post
Find the right clip among an account's recent videos
Suppose you have https://www.tiktok.com/@creator/video/POST_ID. Search @creator, then compare each card's caption and preview with the linked post. If two clips look similar, open the arrow icon on the card and compare the numeric ID at the end of its TikTok address with your source link.
When the clip is not on the first page, select Load more videos if it appears. You can request up to three additional pages, giving up to about 80 recent posts in a session. Pinned posts and the returned ordering mean a thumbnail's position alone is not a reliable identity check.
If the video still does not appear, use the original post's viewing and save options on TikTok. This account search does not look up the supplied post ID directly or retrieve every historical upload. For a /photo/ post, use the separate image downloader instead.
After opening the MP4
Save on a phone or computer
The file may open in a new tab before you can save it. Available controls depend on your browser and the returned media.
iPhone or iPad
If the MP4 opens in Safari, look in the Share menu for Save to Files. If a save option is offered, choose a folder and check Files afterward. A playing video has not necessarily been saved to Photos.
Android
Look for a download action in the player or browser menu after opening the MP4. If the download completes, check the Downloads folder in your file manager. The label and location vary by browser.
Windows or Mac
Use the player's download control when available, or right-click the video and look for Save video as. Choose a folder, then open the saved file to confirm you downloaded the video.

When a file will not open
Why a video will not download
The media link has expired
Open the original post to check that it is still public. Successful searches can be cached for 10 minutes, so immediately repeating a lookup may give you the same URL. Wait for that window to pass, then search again.
The file plays but is not saved
Opening a media address starts playback in many browsers. Use the saving steps for your device, then check Files or Downloads. Copying the address or bookmarking the tab only keeps a link.
No MP4 button, or the file is blocked
Use the arrow icon to open the original post. TikTok may play it even when no direct file is returned or media delivery is restricted. For a photo carousel, switch to the slideshow tool rather than saving its cover.
The account search fails
Confirm the @username and whether the account is publicly viewable. If the message indicates a busy service or timeout, wait and check service availability. A timeout alone does not prove the account is private or deleted.
Previous test results
A previous @tiktok lookup returned 10 MP4 links
On August 28, 2026, TTViewer queried the public @tiktok account through the production Posts path. Each of the 10 sampled media addresses returned video/mp4 and accepted a request for part of the file. The sample used the data-source configuration active on that date; it is a historical check, not a measurement of today's success rate.

Yes, if you know the public creator's username and the clip appears among the returned recent posts. Search the username, compare the captions and previews, then choose Open MP4 to save on the matching card. A direct file must be available for that post.
Can I paste one TikTok video URL into this page?+
A full tiktok.com/@creator/video/POST_ID address can identify the creator, but the tool searches that account rather than selecting the linked video. Use @creator or the profile URL and find the clip among the returned posts. Short vm, vt and /t/ share links must first be opened on TikTok to identify the creator.
Can I choose HD quality or remove a watermark?+
There is no quality selector or watermark-removal control. TTViewer opens the media file supplied for the public post without editing or re-encoding it. Inspect the saved file to check its resolution and appearance; an available MP4 link does not establish original upload quality.
Can I download every video from an account at once?+
You save files individually. When more results are available, Load more videos allows up to three additional page requests, with up to about 80 recent posts across the session. It does not select every upload, produce a ZIP or retrieve private and deleted posts.
Why does the MP4 play instead of downloading?+
Open MP4 to save opens a direct media address in a new tab. Your browser may play it first. Use the player's download control, Save video as on a computer, or Save to Files on iPhone when offered. Check the saved file afterward; playing a clip does not save a local copy.
Why does retrying return the same broken MP4 link?+
Successful account lookups can be cached for up to 10 minutes in the browser and on the server. An immediate repeat search can therefore return the same expired address. Check that the original post is still public, wait for the cache window to pass and search again. A refreshed result still depends on the public media being available.
Keep the creator and source with your saved file
Save your own clips or content you have permission to keep. A public media link does not grant republication rights. Record the original TikTok URL, @username and date alongside the file so you can identify its source later.
